Elder Kevin L. Betton, Jr. was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 22, 1979. He is a 1997 graduate of Fort Meade Senior High School. He entered the United States Army Reserves on April 28, 1996 as a Patient Administration Specialist. In October 2002, he transferred to Active Duty status as a Chaplain Assistant. Elder Betton has been deployed to Iraq twice, serving six months in 2003 and a full year in 2005. On December 17, 2012 he married the former Celeste Graham. The couple has 3 children together, Kyndal Graham (9); Mikayla Betton (8); and Judah Betton (3)
In 2001, he accepted his call into the ministry and began preaching the gospel, receiving his license in 2004. On June 14, 2007 he was ordained to the office of an Elder in the Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian Churches and Ministries (KCICCM), headquartered in San Antonio, TX under the anointed leadership of Bishop David Michael Copeland. In 2015 his credentials were transferred under the leadership of his father, Bishop Kevin L. Betton, Sr., the Senior Pastor of the Cathedral of Praise Church Ministries & the Presiding Prelate of the Kingdom Fellowship of Interdependent Ministries in Hinesville, GA. He currently serves at the Greater Life Church in Lakewood, WA under the leadership of Apostle David Davis.
Elder Betton has dedicated his life to the study of the Word. After several years of study, he graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.94 G.P.A.) from Liberty University, obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Religion in May 2012. Elder Betton continued his education with Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with distinction in May 2015, earning his Master of Divinity degree while maintaining a 3.9 G.P.A. In March of 2016 he was accepted to begin a post-graduate Master of Theology with Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
Elder Betton has a sincere passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God and has a unique, God-given ability to be able to minister to people of all ages. He is dedicated to continuously fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19) and the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37) through the intentional education, equipping, and empowering of healthy disciples, leaders, churches, and movements to the ends of the earth until Christ returns, or he dies. Elder Betton is a dynamic man of God who is anointed to make a difference in the world today-- one person at a time.
